Polynucleotides

Information

Derived from highly-purified DNA molecules extracted from fish gonads, Polynucleotides aid in repairing damaged skin cells, stimulating fibroblast cells to produce collagen and elastin. This process enhances skin quality  via improving hydration, pigmentation stability, and reducing inflammation. At Novello skin we only used approved polynucleotides that manufactured in Europe according to high standards.

Plinest® range is relatively novel treatment for skin regeneration, it won the award for the Best New Product of The Year  in the UK at Aesthetics Awards 2024. This family of polynucleotides, also, include hybrid product of polynucleotides and hyaluronic acid such as Newest® .

Polynucleotides

FAQs

How many sessions of polynucleotides do I need and how long do the results last?

Treatment typically involves three to four sessions, spaced 2-3 weeks apart for the gradual positive results .The maintenance session every 5-6 months  is advised for long lasting results.

How do polynucleotides work?

Cells have DNA, which is made of polynucleotides. When we inject more polynucleotides into aged and damaged skin cells, they help regenerate tissue by stimulating fibroblasts – a type of cell that contributes to the formation of connective tissue. Essentially, we are healing the skin from within.

Are polynucleotides right for my skin?

Polynucleotides are suitable for the most people with the first signs of ageing and, also, for women undergoing menopausal changes when skin can feel drier and more sensitive. Your medical practitioner will tailor treatment plan to meet your skin needs and would advise if there are any contraindications.

Poly nucleotides can be used for:

  • Fine lines,
  • Acne scarring
  • Dark under-eyes circles
  • Skin laxity
  • Scalp rejuvenation
  • Saggy skin of neck, décolletage, inner arms, thighs, knees and intimate areas.
Will I have instant results?

The results are not immediate. It takes time to stimulate fibroblasts in the skin for improved skin cells’ turnover, enhanced elasticity and hydration levels.

Can polynucleotides be combined with other treatments?

Combining  polynucleotides with other aesthetic treatments can increase their results significantly. They are successfully used alongside active skin care, micro-needling, micro-needling with radio frequency and CO2 laser (SECRET PRO technology), chemical peels, pigmentation and anti-wrinkle treatments.

Are there any side effects?

Side effects are minimal, depending on the injection technique used. As with any injection, patients can expect some slight redness and swelling following treatment. No serious adverse events have been reported.

What should I expect?

Some slight discomfort during injections is possible.  The numbing cream applications would be advised  before treatment for more comfort during injections. The most of our clients at Novello Skin find treatment more comfortable than they thought. Some redness, swelling and pin prick bruising could take 48 hours to settle

Your medical practitioner will provide you with necessary after care instructions.
